Sydney Women's Fund Founding Donor - Julia Ross

After selling her business earlier this year, Julia Ross has become a founding donor of the Sydney Women’s Fund, providing seed funding to part-fund operations over three years. This will allow the employment of the fund director, an integral part in the fund’s continued development. Julia is an entrepreneur, founder and former managing director of RossJuliaRoss a global company offering HR, recruitment, outsourcing and technology solutions.

She believes that being a successful woman allows to help others who have not been as fortunate.“When I see what some women go through each day in my city, from homelessness to illiteracy, it dawns on me that I could easily be in their shoes. They simply haven’t had the same opportunities I have enjoyed, like an education, or have met with unfortunate circumstances.“Successful women are in an excellent position to help other women in need of support.”

Julia will be speaking at an event to mark the launch of the First Seeds Fund, a new subfund to be launched by the Little Black Dress Group as part of the Sydney Women’s Fund. See the events section or contact events@sydneycommunityfoundation.org.au to book.
