INTERGENERATIONAL GARDEN

SUTHERLAND SHIRE.

Welcoming and supporting newly arrived migrants for 45 years, Gymea Community Aid recently began a gardening club.

Meeting weekly, the club has raised beds with such success they’ve been given a 5-year lease on a local plot to create a community garden.

With access to a community hall and kitchen, the garden will support a range inclusive activities.

It will become a cultural exchange of food and cooking traditions, reflecting the diversity of its members. Improving mental and physical wellbeing and environmental awareness, the garden will nurture friendships and networks.

Help create a vibrant community space.
