Join us at 4Fourteen restaurant in Surry Hills on Thursday 22 March, for an intimate gathering of our closest friends, partners and donors as we launch our priority projects for 2018.

This intimate gathering for our closest friends, partners and donors will again be generously hosted at 4Fourteen restaurant in Surry Hills.

Renowned chef Colin Fassnidge and his wife Jane Hyland will generously offer lunch for a limited number of guests at the low-bono cost of $65.

Your generous support throughout 2017 enabled us to raise more than $250,000 through our Inspire Your Giving Program for women and girls in need in Sydney, double the amount raised in 2016!

Working with our grassroots delivery partners, this year we have shaped many worthwhile projects that will make a real difference to people’s lives – one by one. These are community programs delivered to assist people in some of this city’s most disadvantaged places.

Granting highlights achieved with your support in 2017:

  • $7,150 for Women’s Business Incubator: This project initiated in 2014 with SWF support, last year saw our place-based program partner; Liverpool Neighbourhood Connections launch a shop in the Liverpool CBD. Past and present participants are now able to sell their products and services on the mainstreet!

  • $11,000 for Start the Day Well: we funded Table to deliver food preparation and cooking workshops for women in disadvantaged communities in Western Sydney, many of whom are victims of domestic violence. For each meal sold, one is donated to those in need. Outcomes include trauma support, skills development and work pathways in, and outside of hospitality.

  • $33,000 for Strive for Girls: Strive continues to be a project delivering immense value for girls in years 6-10 in Warwick Farm. The program was initiated by SWF donors who wanted to help highly at-risk young girls. This powerful initiative encourages and empowers young women to make positive life choices, stay safe, and remain engaged in their education.

Georgina Byron, Chair of Sydney Women’s Fund’s Advisory Council will update you on Sydney Women’s Fund’s achievements and officially launch this year’s Inspire Your Giving donor campaign.
