Christopher Procter Education Fund was established in memory of architect and urban designer, Christopher Proctor.
The fund has created the Christopher Procter Prize of $5,000 which will be awarded by the Australian Institute of Architects Foundation.

Christopher Procter Prize $5,000
The prize has been established for the Institute of Architects in his memory by his wife, architect Bridget Smyth, colleague architect Bill Tsakalos and sponsored by Ethos Urban, where he was a director. Christopher died suddenly of DVT when arriving to Sydney in November 2018, from a visit to the USA.
The inaugural prize in 2019 is for the purpose of providing an emerging architect, who has demonstrated a commitment and passion for the design of cities, with the opportunity for research based on travel or study to enrich their professional development
Upon graduation in Adelaide in 1986 Christopher won the University of Adelaide (then South Australian Institute of Technology) Medal, the Rod Roach Design Grant and the South Australian Gas Company Prize in Architecture. These enabled him to undertake research and travel that furthered his passion for design.
Funds from Ethos Urban have established the Christopher Procter Education Fund as a sub-fund of Sydney Community Foundation to provide an annual scholarship of $5,000 in memory of Christopher over 10 years. Other contributions to the fund may enable the scholarship to continue.
