Leaving a gift in your Will
How your bequest can last forever with Sydney Community Foundation.
Leave a Lasting Legacy with a Gift in Your Will
A gift in your Will to the Sydney Community Foundation allows you to make a lasting impact on the causes and issues you care about most. Your gift will be invested in our endowment fund and allocated to support the causes you choose in perpetuity. Or, as an alternative option, establish a lasting legacy with Sydney Community Foundation by creating a sub fund in your name or named for the cause you care about most.

Before making a bequest, it's important to seek the advice of a qualified solicitor or trustee. The Law Institute or Society in your state or territory can refer you to a solicitor. Remember to review your Will every few years to ensure it still reflects your wishes.
Different Ways to Make a Bequest to the Sydney Community Foundation:
• Leave the residue of your estate after specific bequests have been left to family and friends
• Leave a nominated portion or a fixed percentage of your estate to guard against inflation
• Leave a specific gift, such as property or shares
• Leave a ‘reversionary bequest’: allowing a surviving partner to benefit from your estate during their lifetime and then for the balance of the estate to be paid to Sydney Community
Foundation upon their death.
