We’ve had a brilliant response to the call out for programs for funding in our first Sydney Community Foundation + Sydney Airport grantmaking partnership offering a single $100,000 grant and a number of smaller grants up to $10,000. $3.3 million of worthy programs were received as grant applications. We’ve called the partnership Bid for Good as the money to be granted will come from the proceeds of Sydney Airport’s annual lost property auction.
We’re thrilled to be entrusted with granting to communities near Sydney airport using our expertise in evaluating grants and meeting grassroots need with impact.
Sincere thanks to all the applicants for sharing their innovative work and programs helping the many people in need in our local neighbourhoods.
Winners will be announced after the Sydney Airport Lost Property Auction, toward the end of October 2017.
