Our Maybanke Sub Fund recently hosted its 10th Annual Lecture at Parliament House. We thank those that attended in person and online.
The Fund honours the work of Maybanke Anderson, writer, leader, feminist, key early childhood education advocate and promoter of the rights of women and children in Australia. This year’s lecture was special as we came together to remember, Rosalind Strong AM and her husband Tony Strong who both sadly passed away earlier this year.
Thank you to Jane Spring, a great great great niece of Maybanke Anderson, for continuing the work of the Maybanke Fund. As a public sector leader and diversity advocate, Jane is committed to fulfilling Maybanke’s aspirations of creating education opportunities for women and First Nations communities.
Thank you to Georgie Dent CEO from The Parenthood, a not-for-profit parent advocacy group, who delivered an inspiring oration.
In case you missed it you can watch the lecture replay here.
All funds raised by The Maybanke Fund provide tertiary scholarships for Indigenous students of early childhood education. You can donate directly to the Maybanke fund here.
