What a great night we had on Thursday, celebrating our third grant and giving away another $100,000!
Our congratulations to this year’s winner Open Support – a worthy recipient of our high-impact grant.
This funding will enable Open Support to provide services to some of the most vulnerable in our community who have been impacted by domestic violence.
Our thanks also to the other finalists, BYDS (Bankstown Youth Development Service), The Deli Women and Children’s Centre and KYDS Youth Development Centre. All four finalists presented a strong case and as always it was a very difficult decision for Impact100 Sydney donors.
You can read more on the finalists here and I would encourage you to connect with these organisations if you feel you can assist them in any way.
If you’re wishing you were part of this year’s process and would like to join us next year, now is a great time to donate for 2020 – you can get your donation in before the end of the financial year.
I would like to thank our supporters: ZipMoney led by Peter Gray for covering all our administration costs and thereby allowing 100% of our donation to go to the recipient. Also Scott McWilliams of McWilliams Wines for providing door prizes on the night, and the Sydney Community Foundation team for their support. Also thanks to our wonderful Impact100 Sydney Advisory Committee for their time and dedication throughout the year, as a 100% volunteer organisation we are only as good as the people involved.
I’m looking forward to an exciting fourth round – and I’ll hope you’ll join me as part of this fantastic collective giving movement.
Best wishes,
Alan Duncan
