WOMEN’S SEWING CIRCLE

BANKSTOWN.

Many people in the Bankstown community; refugees, single mums, and struggling parents are unable to provide for their children and are often isolated at home.

Community Support Service Inc. offers local women sewing lessons to provide social contact, valuable life skills and support on all levels to improve their day to day lives.

The classes offer a way for women to generate an income and financially support themselves and their families. They learn how to sew products in class, and gain skills in promoting and creating a small business for themselves in the future.

Facilitated by a passionate designer, classes progress from beginner to advanced, one-off skill specific lessons, and expressive art classes for young people.

FUNDING TARGET $5,500

  • $1000 will sponsor a student for 12 months learning
  • $500 means struggling families can start their own business from home
