Following the death of our father in 2012, two of my sisters and I decided to create the Cahill Fund within the Sydney Community Foundation.
The Family Fund provided an opportunity to honour the legacy of our parents and their belief in a shared responsibility to making a difference in our community.
We have helped fund the Thrive Boys Group for the past 3 years supporting boys in the Warwick Farm area as they make the journey into becoming men. The underlying philosophy of Thrive is to teach the boys to know when it is appropriate to walk away from conflict and how to do this with pride.

Thrive for boys at Liverpool Neighbourhood Connections
Thrive empowers boys to make positive life choices, including respect for themselves and the women in their lives. We are thrilled to be able to support a program which is helping these young men.
Being new to strategic giving, our family found the support and insights provided by the Sydney Community Foundation to be invaluable.
